2010

What a lovely cottage, we have had a fantastic week. We recommend the local beer - especially the Harbour Special from the Tintagel Brewery. Coastal walks were much more strenuous than expected, but worth the aching legs afterwards. At 6ft 1in, I've had a few arguments with low beams, and they've won every time. Ouch. We would really love to come back again."

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Loved to watch the sunset over the sea each evening, The cove at Bossiney was a wonderful discovery."

Had a great week. Loved the cottage. Our favourite day was spent cycling the Camel Trail followed by a tour and wine tasting at the Camel Valley vineyard. We recommend the local bubbly Cornwall!"

"Another wonderful week. Hope we haven't used up all the summer sun allocation for Trenale. We recommend Crackington to Boscastle. For food the local Italian restaurant is good. For cream teas the Rectory Farm, Morwenstow."

A great week in Lilac Cottage: mixed weather has seen us use both the patio and the log fire. We appreciate the efforts made to provide all the necessities, down to the maps and the guides. Hope we can return one day."

We have fallen in love with Lilac Cottage. You have thought of everything. Thank you so much for all the walking info, have discovered some beautiful places. Long cross Hotel at Trelights was well worth a visit, stunning views from the terrace across the bay between Port Isaac and Padstow..."

"Really enjoyed a relaxing week here in Lilac Cottage. Walked several sections of the coastal path - very impressive scenery. Cornish ice creams and Cornish pasties provided the necessary calories. Appreciated the service at the Methodist Church and also visited St Materianas Church and other places of worship."

"What fantastic hosts you are, even though you aren't here. The cottage was immaculate and a real home from home. You have thought of everything to make sure your guests have a trouble-free stay. We've been in love with the area for years, now we're in love with Lilac Cottage too. Thank you!"

We've had a fabulous week of sunshine, enjoying tremendous cliff walks, glorious sunsets and the beauty of Cornwall in the springtime. This really is the most special stretch of coastline in the world!"

"The cottage is not only comfortable it is a home to live in. We felt at home throughout the three weeks. We enjoyed the lovely nature, made a lot of walks on the coast path during mostly good weather and visited Bostcastle, Port Isaac, Launceston, Padstow and Lanhydrock. We thank you very much. You have thought of everything."
